panel confers perimeter control to sites wanting to show-off its
surroundings, such as…
- corporate/university campuses,
housing projects, healthcare/research facilities : Makes
for inviting properties with clean unobstructive security
- pools, amusement parks, tennis courts, public parks and
playgrounds : Let's you enjoy the sights with your safety
in mind
- airports, highways, bridges
and parking structures: See-through panel promotes perimeter
control without the bulkiness |
Omega Architectural fence systems come in four standard heights
of 4, 5, 6 and 8 feet. Moreover, this modular system can
be adapted to fulfill special architectural applications requiring
panels as high as 16', swing or sliding gates as well as step-down
or turns to accommodate the lay of the land.
The system offers two post types specifically suited for different applications. For those seeking pure fence lines and maximum security,
the original profiled post is the most appropriate. However, if
you plan to set the fence in an abusive area, our square posts
allow for the most cost-effective panel replacement.
Blending to perfection with the surrounding
environment, Omega Architectural Fence Systems provide exceptional
value from the standpoint of security.

Technical data:The
OMEGA Architectural fence systems consist of a rigid panel and
post assembly both galvanized and coated for longer wear
and increased aesthetic appeal. Unlike chain link there
is no need for larger end or corner posts because the panels are
self-supporting.
The architectural panels are fabricated
from heavy-duty, 6 gauge, 75 000 psi (515 MPa) galvanized
steel wire welded into a solid one-piece mesh sheets. Each wire
is independent with a breaking load of 2,172 lb. (9665 N).
Minimum weld-shear strength is 1,015 lb. (4.449N). The panels
come in four standard heights
of 4, 5, 6 and 8 feet with 2"x6" mesh openings and evenly spaced
reinforcing bends. The panels are galvanized then polyester
powder coated. Custom panel sizes or openings are available
upon request. Although the panels can be easily trimmed during
the installation, there is no weak link and no possible unraveling.
Reference: ASTM A 641 (1989), Class I , ASTM A182 and ASTM A185
.
The
profile post is available for
in-ground or flanged applications.
Its design incorporates claw-like panel fasteners. Unlike chain
link there is no need for larger end or corner posts because the
panels are self-supporting. They are galvanized, cold rolled,
33,000 psi (227 Mpa) steel. The incorporated fastening claws allow
for turn at any degree and for installations on uneven surfaces
through adjustments in 3" (76 mm) increments. Reference: ASTM
A 446 (1987), Grade A, with a G90 coating.
The 2”x 2” or 3”
x 3” square posts are available for in-ground or flanged
applications. Unlike chain link there is no need for larger end
or corner posts because the panels are self-supporting. The posts
are cold rolled from 1008 grade steel and meet ASTM 513-00 and
ASTM A787-01, G90 zinc coating (galvalume process), then polyester
powder coated. Minimum requirement for the 2” x2”
post: gauge 16 for 4’H and 5’H panel - gauge 11 for
6’H and 8’H panel.
The heavy
duty Universal post bracket kits
allow for straight line and 90° turns. For different angles,
use the “ Universal angle brackets ” . Both brackets
are made of steel hardware and are composed of a collar, wire
retaining plate, bolt, washer and tamper-proof nut with a galvanized
finish. Special panel fittings (SPF)
are available to attach panels to post, wall, floor, ceiling,
masonry etc.
A wide
selection of gates are available. The swing
gates whether single or double, shall be made in accordance
with ASTM F900 (1984) and the sliding
gates shall be fabricated in accordance with ASTM F1184, Class
2. See gates pictures

Installation: Installing an
OMEGA system is fast and easy. Two experienced installer should
be able to set 200' to 250' per day. An installation
with profile posts should require only 8-10% more time than with
square posts.
To install a fence system using profiled
posts simply set the first post, attach a panel, link a second
post to the panel, set the second post and continue sequentially.
To install the fence system using the square
posts simply set the posts in concrete, let dry and fasten
the panels. Easy panel replacement.
To impede climbing standard panels come with 1" pickets. Should
they not be required, the pickets can be set facing downwards
or they can be removed prior to coating the panels.
Panels can be trimmed on the job site as long as zinc primer and
touch-up paint is applied to the cut marks.
For the fence
to follow slopes, it is required to step
the fence sections. The profiled post permit 3" increments
. When faced with a steep slope, it will be necessary to order
longer posts and panels cut in half as to keep the gap under the
panel to a minimum. A very steep slope may require a portion of
the panel to be buried but this is only recommended when the manufacturer
supplies specially coated panels.
